The short version
There are no accounts and no database. We do not store the URLs you check, the results, or anything about you.
What happens when you check a URL
Your browser cannot read another website's tags directly, so the address you submit is passed to our server, which requests that public page once, reads its meta tags, and returns them to your browser. The result is held in your browser tab and disappears when you close or reload it. Editing a title, description or image in preview mode happens entirely in your browser and never reaches us.
Logs
Like any website, our hosting provider records standard technical request logs (such as IP address and timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. We do not use them to build profiles, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Third-party images
Preview cards load the image URL found on the page you checked, directly from wherever it is hosted. That host will see a normal image request from your browser.
